Hi all, does anybody know where on mahles it is stamped, got my sump off and im just trying to see the bottom of the pistons

Is it normally on the top or bottom, wana know if block has been bored

Normally on the top it will say 0.25 or something like that if they are oversize, but why not just vernier the bore and know for certain that way?

Piston diameter is marked on top - at least it is on oversize ones - the Ford "YB" part number is on a standard 4x4 one.

 

Chip - i will mate, just wanted to know if i had a standard bore block

richm - so if they are standard bore it'll have YB.........after? It's a 4x4 block.

Also on each big end shell it has a S punched into it or maybe a 5

oil everywhere though as i have the sump off lol

 

also got 90P43 W2 on the bottom of the piston

 

exactly as the picture shows, standard bore

 

mine dont look like that though
