Default mobile phone question

feel abit dumb asking this but can i just go to any shop buy any mobile i like and just stick my sim card in it? im with t-mobile pay as you go

as long as its a T-mobile phone then yes. if you get a phone that isnt on T-mobile most markets have a phone stall and most of them will unlock the phone so you can use it on any network.

yes you can,as long as yo buy a phone offline it will work on any network

But don't forget that Offline phones cost their true value, not the very low subsidised price that we see on Pay Monthly deals.

e.g. Nokia 6230i would probably cost over £200 without a Contract.

You should then consider a Contract deal as the total cost for the year on some of the deals that are around would work out less than £200.

I sorted a Nokia 6230 for my Mum a month or so ago and the total cost for the year is about £130 and she gets 1000 minutes Off Peak Free, 100 Texts Free and lots of other stuff too.

They're called 'sim free' phones, and I got a 6230i a month back for £200.
