Anyone know the reset sequence for servicing on an A4?
As above... I can't remember what the reset button sequence is for resetting the service inspection warning - anyone??

or you can try this
Audi A4 & A6 (All years)
Turn off the ignition
Press and hold the button on the left side of the display while turning the ignition on
Service OIL will be displayed
Pull out the button on the right side of the display until the service prompt is cleared
The display should now read ---
If the above procedure does not work, outlined below is an alternative procedure:
With the ignition off, push the right button
Turn the ignition on and then pull the left button
This should clear the warning message
Audi A4 & A6 (All years)
Turn off the ignition
Press and hold the button on the left side of the display while turning the ignition on
Service OIL will be displayed
Pull out the button on the right side of the display until the service prompt is cleared
The display should now read ---

Had to take my Avant into a local Audi soecialist who plugged in a gizmo to a port hidden in the ashtray in the back of the centre console. Stung me £25 for the privilidge as well

If it has the 2 button dash try:
Push and hold right button
turn ignition on service now should appear release button
turn left button to the right and it should vanish
turn ignition off then back on again
try that
Push and hold right button

I wish I'd never said, 'it's OK there's a sequence for it, I've done it loads of times on customer cars', and then it fooking don't work, argh

You can do it like that, because my mate did it for me about a month ago on our A3......
But the silly arse has forgotten!! Do take it to the stealers to do, they'll pull ya pants down!
