Right, but the descrition on MigWeb just says he placed the gasket on the head, then put the camcover down, and then tightened it up.

What the fuck is wrong with that?

I was thinking the same Rich! I put my cam cover on the head then camcover over

My old gasket went like that no 4 plug hole was full of oil, and oil pouring down the back of the engine! I didnt relise they would leak so bad

Okay - he placed the gasket on the head, as opposed to?

Glueing it down?

Are you saying it moved as put the camcover on, cos that doesn't appear to be very clear...........

r u on a wind/up bit obvious with the middle full of oil dont you think I'd say that some of the middle bolts didn't have n e gasket between them.

DOH! Simple mistake to make I suppose, supposed to fit the gasket to the rocker cover first and then place on head

if you read the whole thread you will see where someone says that the gasket has to be clipped into the rocker cover before fitting

Right, thank you.

Consdiering I've done loads of rocker cover gaskets on cossies, done it that way as described, and never had a problem, I wondered what everyone was nattering about.

How on earth would you put the rocker cover gasket on a YB rocker cover, and the place it on the head, without some form of adhesive?!
