8.8 Quarter Mile from the 300ZX engined Escos in Athens!!!!

Default 8.8 Quarter Mile from the 300ZX engined Escos in Athens!!!!

Yesterday the 300ZX engined Escort Cosworth ran a 8.8/246 km!!!!! in the Athens Drag Race Event

I should note that the run was made with over 35 degrees celcius so you can understand that the car can do much much better...

Plus on various runs they had exit speeds of around 260km...
The car can do 8.5s easily...

in the next couple of days i will post video and photos from the Athens race... now check some pics from their previous race in Cyprus...

one of the most amazing things its their gearbox. they could lock for the burnout the front wheels and spin the rear.

Then they would purge the nitrous and go... Simply insane.

if i remember correctly they did a 1.7 for the 18m. I will try to upload my shaky video until i can get the good ones from the club.

We also had a Lancia Delta integralle with 9.7, a couple of imprezas from 9.6 to 10 flat, a street legal EVO with a 10.6, a RWD saph with a 10.4, a 3dr Sierra Drag Car with a V8 Mopar engine with a 8.8, a 66 Chevy Nova with a 8.8, a Citroen AX on throttle bodies with a 11.7 and many more...

So its 4wd? I thought it was RWD?

That sounds like its prob got a Skyline gearbox and transfer box if it can do that and have 4wd too, makes sence too as GTR boxes mount to VG30DETT engines no problem IIRC

Lol.

Its just the way Nissan engines are called...

VG is the engine family name (like VQ, RB, SR, etc)
30 is the size (ie 3litres, 26 is 2.6 and so on)

DE

E is overhead cam
DE is double overhead cam
T is turbo
TT is twin turbo

And its a DOHC V6 Twin turbo engine from the VG engine family, so its VG30DETT, and GTR engines are RB26DETT, and my engine is RB30DET, and so on...

You guys have some truely awesome cars there, and the Weather aint bad either! lol Saw loads of nice cars when I was in Ayia Napa last year, saw a Saph Cos aswell

Ayia Nappa is Cyprus, not Athens, Greece, but we are like brothers with the Cypriots. They have some monsters there and they often bring them in Athens so we can enjoy them...

Ford built the 3door as a mk2 version in Europe. I have a Spanish XR4i in the UK.
