NEED HELP S2 RST FOOKED :update pls look:
sposed to be doing a show report at combe tomoz for fast ford,
the fookin S2 cut out as i got off the m/way just now, and every time i put my foot on the clutch it just dies, and when i crank over to restart it pops and bangs and then runs just about.
i guess its got fuel cos of the pops and bangs so is this ignition related??
also it fells slow as fuck, its holding 15psi but just seems to have no power.
any help urgently/greatly appreciated

dont think its the pipes as i tightened then all up last night, and took the DV off, could be not sealing properly round the broom handle
jano, i dont have any tools with me, they all still in the garage where i used to live, ill drive the car to combe tomoz and get my mate to take some tools and check, did kinda feel like it was misfiring.
also, its got a bleed valve on it, between actuator and amal valve (guess its an amal valve?)

if you've got a boost guage reading 15 psi then the system is obviously sealed upto the plenum. its gonna be one of those 3 things jano said, any way it would run fine with no boost so can rule out pipes etc

oil cap was on, i did check the dipstick earlier so may be that.

just finding my feet
theres a breather pipe to the metering head, when that comes off the ca wont idle but will drive !!!!, when ya come on the gas it will bang like anti lag and most people cant see it and so assume its on
do ya also have issues starting it then when it starts ya gotta rev it high or it cuts out

well ive just been out and checked the breathers and hoses etc, firt one i checked was the solid plastic pipe from the cam cover breather to the metering unit, i found its got a hole melted in it.
is this why it will no longer start, and would this be why it was running so poor with no power, as i assume it was sucking in unmetered air so there was not the fuelling for it??

right then, i just bodged a load of gaffer tape round the pipe and it fookin started!!!
took it for a run for about 10 mins, still seems slow as fuck so i guess the cam is worn?
then when i went to put it back in the garage it wouldnt idle and cut out again...

best bet here mate is rather than keep changing things in the hope of finding the prob, is to get the fookin thing on the rollers plug it in and find everything wrong with it

fookin shonky s2's m8! best bet is Ł5 of pertorl & a match! will cure all your problems! & save u a packet in the end!

the 3 door is my car, the RS poo is the FF feature car.
after the 20th when we have had pics of both cars as they are ill start ripping the interior out for the cage, i got a T34 and a T5 gearbox last week, should be getting 2WD cos running gear this sat, gotta take the pistons in to get some low comp forged ones machined and get the rods, take the block and everything over to philm and he will machine block and build engine etc...
its still happening mate
