Default Cossie's @ Engine Advantages - Witham

I went to Engine Advantages on Sunday - there was an Aubergene Escos there with 18/19 rims and huge brakes (388mm) Had the dash display changed to show the rev counter on the middle with all sorts of digital gauges around it.
I heard it's a guy called Effe and it's over 500bhp - any one from here?
There was also a moonstone 3 door Sierra and a Rally Escort up on the stands.

Alright Chris!
It's Matt - Warrens mate, had to get a new user name cause old one was crap!
Whats up with the Escos I saw then - heard he'd melted a piston or something?
By the way Chris - I'm buying Wal's Cossie so will be coming to you in August sometime to get some wheels and may be some other bits.

Matt.

So that Escos is still alive then? The dash looks mean - are his brakes the same as yours?
Nope, selling it to me at a very reasonable price!
Please dont talk him out of it or I'll end up spending the money on my Clio!
I couldnt seem to log in under the old name so just made up another one on the quick.
Prob get it changed if/when I get the cossie.
Problem is I cant buy it till after USC.

hes a strange thing for ya though, a guy who come in my shop who is a good "mate " of effe said he went out in his car and its now quick as fuck, got all the defis in there and the stack

he looked worried when i told him it was still there a few weeks ago when i picked up my engine

now i know why, the prick was talking bollocks

im gonna rip the piss put of him now

oh and the rally car is ian howells from racetec, now thats a great car too

pauls had effe's car for ages, hes taking as long as im taking to finish my cabrio

mind paul did say all hes doing is givving him more things to add to the car when hes trying to build a new engine

fooking great car though

Really, well things must have changed since the Ring then??? strange... why replace the whole engine if it was just one little piston. Or was that a wrong diagnosis? Whats the new engine then, anything exciting

Hope its sorted soon, nice bloke effe and a sweet looking car

its still gonna be the block but not the same engine

i thought he mised the ring cause of the engine, i heard it gave in just before ( could be wrong though)

oh paul said the problem "could" be the engines condition as ya never know what state it could be in and how bad the build may have been

i still blame his sunday fun he has with it ( he fooking cains that car )

bent rod was the cause initially, which lead to other component failure
The car was 559 before failure it is now 580 with the right bits, including proper cams now and produces that power running less boost.
The brakes are AP 6 pots and no they are not the same as mine, mine are a bit bigger but not AP callipers. The rears are almost as big.
If I were to write the whole spec here now, the BB would crash, and stu and pet would ban me from the board for filling it up.
Lee is right aswell, top bloke who owns it.....but his friends are nice too

Seem it around a couple of times, unfortunately not seen it open up.
Seen yours though Chris and if it's nearly double that then fook me!
By the way Chirs, Wal's just getting the bits for the Saph so it's up to scratch when I buy. No idea why, I said leave it and I'll sort it when I buy it but hey it'll save me another few quid!!

Chris,
As it was running perfectly before the GT35 was bolted on and the engine re-mapped, can I assume that bent rod was a result of the new map ?

Can't wait to go up against Efe's car with my baby engine .

Why would a map bend a rod?

Power/Torque would, but a map?

(I mean the way you say it is like bad mapping did it )

mike baby 2.2 engine?
The main reason was the misleading info on the engine in the first place. Pushing a 430 bhp engine to it's supposed 515bhp was what caused most of the problems to start with.
I thought a 515 bhp engine producing 430bhp with old tensioners, no shot peened rods, and wrong cams, and a mildly ported head probably 'cause the bent rod, not the map.
The cheaper and quicker option would have been to repair the shonky engine in the car, but efe decided that enough was enough.....you can't polish a turd, so out came the shit, and in went the corrct ingredients to produce the power it deserved.
Cossies are meant to be cained
The T4 was substituted for a lovely GT35/40 as it is the way forward......
Matt ring or pm me before you post any pics please!!

Mike/lee in no way was it a mapping issue, had problems long before the GT35 went on, not going in to it but let just say from day one i always had issues with the old engine was never really happy with it due to a number of issue, and upon insecption that was confirmed hence why the whole was binned

you would have only seen my car @ half boost how is that caining da fuck out of it was meant to be a 515bhp engine which never made to power so if the engine has only made 430 to 488bhp the engine is not on this limits

I watched it dyno'd mate and have it on video still! Are you saying the dyno figures were incorrect? If so that is exactly why i asked you to speak to Harvey before buying it as i trusted him to build/supply what i had paid for
