Default Agreed Value Insurance Companies

Who are the best companies for agreed value insurance policies?

Do they pay out the full amount if the car is written off/stolen?

Does it cost a lot more?

Is it worth it?

As far as I am concerned, you can pay extra for a what you think is a good agreed value policy and it may turn out that they are no different to any other, looking for a way out in the event of a claim.

I have just had all the agro again. I have the odds stacked, with the extensive mods, the Ban that I had 3 years ago and also the fact that I am looking for an agreed value beyond what many insurance companies can understand for a 15 year-old Ford.

In the end, I went for Greenlight. They dont offer an Agreed Value, but do give some re-assurance about getting paid out a sensible figure in the event of a Total loss. I must admit, I'm not 100% confident, but having said that I never was when I was with HIC, who do a 'Proper' documented valuation.

You may end up with a policy that is shite in other area's for the sake of finding a good agreed value.

Thanks for that mate, worth thinking about.

I am currently with Greenlight for my Fiesta and I used them for my FRST and S1 as well, if I do find the right Escort Cosworth I think I'll stick with Greenlight.
