Default Tree Jizz on my Paintwork

my car spent about a year under a tree when it was laid up. the paint is covered in shit from the tree that won't come off. i tired T-cut on a polisher thingy but it did sweet FA. if i use T-cut on a rag and really work it in it does come off but it'll take ages and ages for me to do the whole car.

is there any way to get rid of it all thats less labour intensive?

Not really if you've left it that long, you could try using a clay bar - http://www.meguiars.com/estore/produ...g-11&store=meg available from most good car shops.

b19bal, are you on about those 5 pound carwash where they spray acid on your wheels and they start to melt?

i've heard about cars being 'mopped'. whats this exactly?

Billabong, i might try out a clay bar, have you used one before, do they give good results?

Not used one on tree sap, but yes they do give excellent results - pull out all sorts of contaminants from the paintwork, such as diesel fallout etc. - should work with sap. Denatured alcohol or WD40 may also work as they dissolve/soften the tree sap.

Comes with a spray to keep the area you're using it on wet. Still requires some elbow grease, but you can see the results on the clay. My clay bar came from Wax Wizard, but I have the Meguiars one also, not used it yet, but principle is the same.

i just read that mayonaise is good for doing it

the problem i have is its really covered, for every 1" squared there must be about 10 spots of sap.

a clay bar seems like it's going to be as hard as T-Cutting it.

is there no super strong stuff that uses the same principle as T-Cut that i can use on my little 12v polisher thing?

i'm a lazy fooker.
