Default hot starting probs help please!!!

what causes this on a cvh?

car starts fine when cold but when its warm turns over too slowly to catch,is it the starter getting too hot? the battery? or is it somthing else i know its a common problem but whats the solution?

Common CVH problem. Starter gets hot and makes it a bastid to start

Can either get a diesal starter or get a heat shield to put on the top of the old starter to prevent it getting hot

its a bit hit and miss i think.....mines absolutely fine std. ford heat shield

so basically i need to fit a heat shield? or would a new starter cure it?

Heat shield or as Smit said put a diesel starter on it as they're stronger.

But first...........best to check that the connection to the starter motor in tight - the nut can work loose and could be the problem.

Also, check battery terminals are nice-n-tight
