Me & Pete (Warleydaddy) went to Clare's new pad in Milton keynes yesterday in his £40 run around (Nova 1.4) WHAT A LAUGHHHHHHH!!!
We hardly came out of the 3rd lane - the £40 car flies
With a top end speed of 125
We came off the motorway near Clares house & pulled over & timed a 0 - 60 run of 7.65 seconds (samsung D500 timed)
We could have got it slightly quicker if it hadnt been for the wheelspin (were gonna try & get it into the 6's)
The car also comes with anti-lag, which works by putting it into 4th gear from 5th at about 90 mph
I cant believe the thing didnt blow up!!
Thanks for the cup's of tea Clare & Julie & Monster's inc is the bollox!
Were gonna run the nova at Donnington soon

U cant knock a old 1.4 Sr nova, they are near on indestructable
and i remember seeing 130 which is off the clock in my old one years and years ago, obviously down a hill with the wind behind me but its what the dash was reading.
£40 too, u find me a ford that will take that punishment for the money

same engine, just made better by being 5 door, my old 5 door 1.2 rocked, abused for 2yrs and never let me down once,
if teh engine started tapping it got re filled with waste oil and taken back out for more abuse

some were 4 speeds, my 1.2 was a 4 speed on a f reg, mine had the speedo bang in the middle, I think soem did have a clock in there rather than teh rev counter,
I just wasn't lucky enough to have one that well specced

my shoddy old sr eneded up with a GTE engine and a pair of 40's, it gave a even bigger grin factor, teh noise was ace and teh straight through exhaust with twin dtm kicked ass !
sadly revving it to 9k all day long ended up disaster and caused this.
after a rebuild and some money well spent it ended up like this

Cheaper shitters rock for fun factor! I had a 1.6L Astra before i bought for £100 was soo much fun and went really well for a car that done 140k and was thrash everywhere it went
