at National Tyres & Autocare today, how tiered was i 9 1/2 hours with no breaks eeek and my feet hurt

BUT i loved it! cant wait to go back tomorrow!

Saying that I spent a day running round like a twat without a break. Closest I got to a brak was a cheeseburger and a bottle of Coke I had whiloe delivering contract documents.

Cool will get easier, my sister cried on her first day at work, told her to stick with it, next day she loved it and it just got better.

Then I got her a job working for the Princes Trust and she loves that even more and is being fast tracked up the ladder.

Bless her she owes me one, but to be honest, slipping the lenght to an employee resulting in my sis getting the job was no hardship

I'm wondering if it's a typo and she is saying "no brakes"

.........AS IN:
She worked a 9.5 hour shift, and did lots of wheels/tryre/exhausts BUT no brakes (as in calipers/drums/pads)

ahhh well spotted Doug, i DIDNT change any BRAKES no, but i was implying i had no lunch break/tea break, i said at 3pm sod this im getting a drink and brought a bottle from the garage next door, but being my first trial day (unpaid may i add) i thought i should show enthusiasm.

yeah it is illegal to have no breaks but wot can u do in my old job (where my mom still works) we worked 12 hour shifts with no breaks!

I once worked for 37 hours solid...................

8am Saturday until 9pm Sunday..... True, we had a few engine problems that really did need to be fixed so we could re-start the thing, but fuck me I was knackered.... I was making all sorts of dumb mistakes, I kept putting my tools in my pockets then spending 20 minutes looking for them

She has had to give the job up due to her back, she had a slipped disk not long ago and hasnt fully recovered, so sadly although she was able to do the job and was fit enough her back couldnt cope

She's well upset.

Cally, i have a bad back too and as a result have just dropped MY OWN car at the local Ford dealer to have a gearbox installed for me as im not capable without doing myself some damage and causing myself days of pain..

Your NOT a failure, your a young lady with a poor back, perhaps nothing more but certainly nothing less, you will just have to continue doing what your able to do for the time being. I would still employ you for engine work with a bad back if i needed anyone, so dont lose heart.

Her back wasnt playing up in the week when she pulled some fit 18 year old bird and spent the night with her
