Bloody hell!! Not seen that before but I wouldn't think its time to scrap the shell from that damage alone. Should be fairly easy to repair!!

I had an old mk3 Fiesta 1.1 runaround and for one of it's MOT's I had it bodge welded up around the strut top as it was rusting badly there. Never seen a mk4 Escort go there before, aren't they usually covered with a liner so you can't see the metalwork around them?

Nasty whatever the case!

Ahhh - it's you!

Will have to get my engine sorted again first before I take any more footage - I'm just ordering a new clutch for my runaround as I managed to kill the engine in that a few weeks ago, not having much luck with CVH engines at the moment! Got a low mileage XR2i engine going into it instead now.

What you gonna do with the car then mate? Fix it or get a new shell?

Cheers,

Andy

Cool stuff - was good to meet ya on Tuesday as well btw!

Definitely have to organise another RST thrash - when we've all got our cars running properly again!

I was saying to a mate the other day when he asked me why all us RST owners bother - I replied 'they're the best fun in the world for the whole 10 minutes they run right!'

One of the reasons why drilling that area to fit a rear strut brace is never recommended by us.... dosn't look like you had had one fitted tho'.... so who was the lucky lady last night
