Default Bufty questions

Anyone know anyone who sell bufty'd up alternators?
As its in such a prominent position in the bay i wouldnt mind one that was a bit more pleasing on the eye in my car really as mine although still working fine is absolutely hanging.

Also, suspension top mounts (the circular ally ones), who sells bufty ones of those?

Your best bet is to get a new/reconned one, and if you want to be a little bit bling you will have to get the pulley/fins chromed yourself!

www.rageexhausts.com apparently, according to an old max power 'fresh stuff' article, sell them

they'll collect the oe unit and return it a few days later looking 'bling'.

Ah, found the suspension tops on ebay now, cheers for that link too though MWF.

No details on the rageexhausts site of an alternator "bling-ing" service, anyone know if they still do it?
I will drop them an email i guess.

It's pretty obvious that Chip has gone all bufty and will probably be entering his half rough, half bling unwashed Camel Trophy Q-reg 3dr into concourse just to take the piss.... I hope

PMSL, of the pain.

Its just that the rest of the engine looks so nice, and the alternator looks so nasty

Im going to be the only entrant in this years "modified 1.6 gl" concours class at this rate, lol

TBH what i probably should do is just rip the alternator apart, paint the bits up and stuff it back together.

Ive just ordered some chrome suspension tops, and a couple of other bits though, so i fear that "Bufty-itis" may have taken hold.

Stupid thing is its not like its helping maintain the value or anything, its worth feck all anyway cause its just a replica, all be it now a replica thats cost me almost as much as i could have bought my cousins concours winning mint original example for, LOL
