looked like 17s/18s couldn't tell you the design. The car was dark blue.

Had his missus in the passenger seat (didn't look overly impressed), driver looked 30ish and the car (obviously) proper dipped when he floored it

well i was sufficiently impressed to want to get passion ford logos onto my car and to sign up as a gold member and get rid of my 'pf virginity'.

It's always very special when you see a modified car on the roads, a kind of unwritten understanding as we all know. But this, wow. I dropped the window down, looked out and smiled... all i heard next was a turbo spool up and vroom it went past.

He did it a few times before i had to pull off the road but it's certainly cemented my enthusiasm in PF.

that looks very familiar, right colour. the thing was, it was a very controlled fly past.

i've seen cossies go past previously and when they nail it, the back wriggles like michael jackson in a defence seat. this was planted and controlled.

Would depend on what speed it was nailed at and how much power the car was running.

It was us

Were you driving a black "fiesta black" ?

Loved it when we drove past first time, your mouth was wide open, so I let you past, created a little gap in the outside lane, then floored it (fourth gear I think) to let you hear the induction and chatter (did this a couple of times iirc), then let you past one last time, but you had to get off onto M40 I think (that junction anyway).

It's a shame, cos I was preparing for a big one

Seeing your mouth wide open was really cool

Glad it made you join PF (and gold member straight away ), look out in the shows and meetings section for a PF meet near you. You may be able to blag a ride, who knows

PS: Nat wasn't feeling too good, hence the reason why she didn't look happy. Had she been 100%, you would have got a better show

I love it when a plan comes together

Yes, the fiesta black. And it sounded great as you came past!

I saw that huge gap but i also saw that the next junction was chocka so i had to pull off quickly.

I will probably become a gold member as soon as i get a job - 3 interviews this week - but thanks for the buzz. I proper cooked my brakes on the slip road, probably the 'cossie state of mind'.

Thanks for showing off, having a bit of fun and making me smile all afternoon!

My pleasure, I saw that your exit was rather late

Had I known you were coming off, I would have gone for it there and then, but the M25 was quite busy and I needed a reasonable gap to give it some beans proper

Funnily enough, I was saying to Nat afterwards that it's nice to see that there are people who still appreciate our old taxis these days

It is a small world - the strange thing is, i'd been readin pf last week and having a good leaf through the restorations/projects section and thinking, i must start posting more frequently as i'm finding the user base of ukfn is a bit limited - both in terms of foresight and funding.

Thanks for the warm introduction everybody, i shall have to get some PF logos shortly!

Nah, no abuse...i did get stabbed though I always have run ins on the road, like earlier today, some bloke in a beemer overtaking everyone, so i gave chase cos i was bored, i soon caught up with him and left him standing, and he started getting all aggressive behind me right on my bumper!

I shall contact nikki shortly. I'll become a gold member at the same time - i'm a bit of a ford enthusiast but simply hadn't really properly looked at passionford before. I'm just out of uni and am virtually broke atm so i'll have to wait until i get paid - then i'll get purchasing.

As for the making it worth it - respect where respect's deserved. I hate cars that are ace, look ace and go like stink that you see on the motorways and don't whizz past you at least once (or blip the throttle). Frog waited until there was ample room and did what the car was designed for - drove it. as a result, i did a lot of this -
