How do i know if the ecu is chipped

Default How do i know if the ecu is chipped

Ok i have removed the outer casing to see bu im not sure whot / where to look

turn it over alan ... so we can see the pcb
the chip is under the large metal thing with t and x on it

the "chip" is under the long metal clip half way up the board - look closely at the solder joints on the pins - if they look original like the rest of the joints on the board then it's likely to be standard. If the solder looks like it's been redone, the chances are it has been changed.

What actualy tells the ECU that the car is boosting at for it to cut off at 12psi?

The thing top left on the board with the black pipe coming out of it - that's the RST MAP/pressure sensor.... std boost cut is about 10psi on later ECU's

I'll concur with Pete, and say it looks to be standard

You mean the vacuum pipe from the inlet fannymold?
