Default Mk3 Fiesta Buying Advice

Anyone got some?!

Going to have a look at an LX 3dr model on Monday - wondering really what to look for apart from the usual ford problem areas such as filler cap, battery tray etc?

Check underside of sills especially at rear, floor to bulkhead is also a popular area and rear arches and font and rear valence as well as petrol cap.also round front and rear strut tops and inside rear wheel arch where the chassis is located on other side.
Hope this helps

Is this for a 1st car ? Or a runabout ? Obviously bodywork is an issue, check for rust and stuff round the sunroof too. This is my fiesta

I had one of these yonks ago!

Check the bottom of the B pilar on the door seals. They tend to rust there.

It's a 1.1 LX on a K - plate, I paid 200 quid for it, bodywork's a bit tatty but it's only a run about

Cost £482 third party fire and theft with 6 points and no no claims with HIC, which will drop when I load 7 years no claims and a clean license on it

Might look into chopping it in for an XR2
