Default Who makes carbon fiber bits??

Anyone know of any companies that will make me up some custom carbon flashy bits? I'm seriously gonna go full time with the whole rally/race/road car hybrid look for the XR2 and was wondering who could make up some carbon bits to go with my new dash.

Can anyone recommend anyone? Or any of you carbon fiber people on her willing to give it a go?

on an XR2!!!!! Noooooooooooo

Keeping the outside stelthy, with exceptions to one vent to allow air to the carb, but the inside will be fully rally slaged out with exception to a radio and carpet to protect the paint.

Take it this means project cabby is dead and burried then?

Onwards and upwards. Just don't rip this to bits until you have the kit to put in. XR2's are cracking fun.

Wanna buy a set of FRST rims

Yeah I think project ZT cabby is now off indefinately, I'm growing quite attached to that cars superb handling. I've thrown it into corners at speeds which would have been suicidal in the cabby and this thing has just smiled and carried on.

Plus I have been taking to Gary and his mate mark about putting in the Zetec in it too. Aiming for about 160bhp which for a car that weights not much more than 700kg should give me decent power to weight.

Not doing anything to the car untill I have all the bits to put on it, I need it for work.

And no I dont want FRST rims

thats why hes a gimp

he likes it but he dont like it, i dont bother with it anymore as hes too long about it

think hes scared of it tbh as its only really a fast car and hes a 70 on the motorway tyoe person and dont think hes got the paitence to have a car that aint reliable if ya rag the pants off it and dont look after general things

soon as the engine was fitted the box went ,

its just down to he wants a car he can rag and the car hes chose kills things

he needs a N/A car where there less chance to go wrong if ya got a different driving style

he likes to be on and off the gas all the time ect

its a shame but would be perfect for stu as most the hard works done and just needs tweeking and carpeting in the car

he got told its worth 1500 quid so thats what he wants to sell it for

4x4 cossie turbo, efi on beiges, my old MSD chip speced for the engine , fill painted outside, 2wd cossie cooler

wack a set of buckets in it and carpet it ( as its too fooking loud and rattly)

its also got cossie brakes, poly bushed and adjustable suspention

and a clifford alarm thats got total closure remote start ect

if i could warant the cash i would buy it

Shame really, but I dont have Ł1500 to throw about. not since me nan dropped me in it when I got the XR2 by saying she wont help me out with paying for it like she promised. (Wants me to get a new ford.... dont want a new one )

But I have been toying with ideas for what engine to put in the car. Everything from actually carrying on and doing the ZT conversion on the mondi lump to just putting in a FRST lump in it, nut the N/A mondi lump, on some nice big carbs and dizzy less ingnition would suit the car down to a t.

Dont get ya mate for selilng the car soon after he built it why spend on that money on the car if your only gonna sell it.

hes selling it as owning a turbo car aint the same as owning a N/A saxo , with N/A you can drive it for ever and not have to worry about the oil, a turbo car is 40 quid a oil change and every 3k, he fitted a shit engine to it at forst and melted it on the way back from central day, i fitted another engine to the car and i forgot to tighten up the sump plug ( was hand tight as was busyin the garage when we took the oil out and then i put the plug back in and then never worked on it for 2 days, my fault though i admit ) when he got it back i said theres a small patch of oil and i dont remember tightening up the sump plug so i cant garantee it was done, check it before ya use it, he chose to ignore me and speak to his mate who said the sump gasket needs changing, he stuck more oil in the car and that pissed out and was getting worse, he FINALY cheacked the sump plug to find it was actually loose

the when he was ragging the car as i said not to turn up the boost over 15psi till fueling is done he got beat by a mate whos not caring about what boost hes running ect, hes box neevr had much oil in itand he used it with no oil and was sold a new gearbox for it ( he asked me a opinion, i told him but he done it anyway ) hes now not happy giving it stick as hes worried the box will die or worse and thinks that its cause its a turbo car and the cars fault

its just down to not looking after it ti correct way and not wanting a car with the maintainence

look at any poerson with a turbo car, always having work done on it, but a N/A car runs with only stupid stuff to change and the parts are sooo cheep and available

hence why i think a thottle bodied N/A 2.0 engine on aftermarket management would be well sorted for a fun 180bhp+ fun car thats cheap to run

engines cost 150 quid to replace, aftermarket is 550 plus vat, throttle bodies aint cheep but when there bought there bought and ya aint gonna melt it at high speed like ya do a turbo car

but for 1500 quid i would buy me mates car and look after it , but as ya got a xr2 and aint got access i would say N/A zetec, easy conversion at first with all the mondeo stuff and a custom zorst and ford management then decide from there, 400 quid and ya laughing

besides xr2's feel shit after 110mph

Actually ya know what ginge, you say XR2's feel shit at 110mph, but mine is great.

My old 3i, Cabby, just about every ford I have owned was twitchy and nasty at 100+ (untill you get into saph/sierra size and then just the size of the cars negates that). But with this one I have had it to 125-130ish and I dunno if its the G-Max Springs and shocks on it, but damn is it smooth

I love it! But yeah a N/A lump would well sort it, seeing as I have to use it everyday too. Plus I have the engine and the cost of converting it should be any more than 300-400

If you aint got Ł1500 to pay for it, then forget about custom bits for it for a while unless you can do them yourself IMHO. I had to make all my own for that reason too.

stu the reason it feels soo good at 130 is cause ya speed is soooooo over reading, they do a max of 110mph

check the stats , the car dont do 120 and deffo not ever 130, my cabrio just about makes 120mph adn takes forever to get there

Ohhh its not a standard XR2, its had headwork done to it, cams and got the usual zorts and airfilter with a slightly larger carb. Oh and going down hill too You know that bit down the M11 that helped a bit.

it will not have done 130mph at all, trust me

headwork/cams on a N/A cvh dont do that much

bet the larger carb is the older c reg carb aswell

i used to have a "race tuned" xr2 that was well torquy , but never got 120 out of it , that had spax on it aswell , was a few years ago so not as old, fooking loved that car , payed 200 quid for it in 1999 , was sooo small was the fastest car i was ever in and cained all me mates cars, untill ya added passengers and then it was like a pig
