Depends for what Scoobie and what for. But you Escos with those data in you sig and if it has matching suspention setup is more then match for any stock Scoobie. I know because I driven all of them (apart from exotics like Type-R)

Im a scooby lover and i say NO.
Escos are rarer and look better imho, scoobs are getting too common unless you get a P1 / 22B

I don't understand why everybody starts this argument. You drive them or look at them???

He has 380 bhp Escos, probably with some coilover suspention setup and some adjustable parts (if not it not a problem to fit those). It's probably faster then any even lightly tweaked Scoob in any conditions apart from snow or gravel. At the same time it's more demanding ride for the driver with much more choice between rally-style driving and going around corners in civilised way. I love Scoobies for the legend, and easyness and the fact that they are very gfasty beeing four-doors but it would take at least heavily tweak new-age STI to beat that Escos probably.

If you need more straight line performance Cossie is the way to go. It's lighter then Scoobies and has more powerfull engine. If you need more middle and low end torque more boost is what you need probably, as Cossie engine is low-comp compared to Scoobie one.

Handling-wise it's bigger problem to make Cossie behave as well as Scoobie but with proper driver it can be as fast with so much power.

Oh nooooooooo

I'd never sell my Escos for one. Never ever ever. Not a fan AT ALL! I'm not a loyalist though, I'd think about a nice Evo.. and maybe a GT40 lol

I dont understand why you took my post as an argument?
Im saying Escos LOOK better IMHO, and Scoobys ARE COMMON IMHO
So im telling him to KEEP THE COSSIE
Half the Cossies on here are buftied so yes I would say looks has a big part in it.

I guess I completly don't understand the whole "looking good" car culture. FOr me performance cars, rally cars and all that are about driving, driving experience, on the windy road, on the race track, on the special stage. I car about the looks only as the rally driver cares about his car being good advertising space but it's much more important for me what happens when you are in the drivers seat then how it looks when it drives by. Probably I am wrong...

five years ago i dident no weather to buy a escort cos or brand new scooby.
thought very hard about it but escort cos it was. still got the car and still love it as much as i did when i first got it. My escort is still worth as much as i paid for it five years ago, what would the scooby be worth now?

The Scoob is brilliant as much as it pains me to say it. Would never part with a good Cossie for one though

It's pretty hard to make the old shape ones handle as well as new ones. But they are lighter, much lighter. IF RHD is similar to LHD whole steering system is horrendous on old shaped ones.... The only thing that makes me cry when I drive one :-(
