Why do people use bleed valves
Why do people use bleed valves instead of buying the right actuator, or is there another reason.
Do you feed them into the car.
what benifits do you get
Thanks in advance

it would take WAY too long to explain the benefits ... but it it indeed a valid form of boost control.
basically if you want to adjust the boost you need to restrict the pressure that reaches the actuator... you either do this via putting a restrictor in-line (ala Air-Air) or you bleed off some of the pressure (ala Bleed Valves). Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages.
adjustable srew type bleed valves only havea bad rep because people commonly misuse them. but a bad workman shouldnt blame his tools n all that...
ps i killed an engine by "playing" with my bleed valves :P

You should JUST run an actuator, mainly as it will gradually open the wastegate as boost increases, slowing down the speed the car hits full boost.
Nowt wrong with a bleed valve if used properly.
