i know its been asked before but cant find it with no search function, so whats the minimum recommended thickness please, i think it was 138.6mm but cant remember
fen the thicker headgasket aint the normal idea
measure ya comp ratio before ya do anything and show stu the pistons ect before ya decide anything
btw the 3 door bumper looks cool, anychance of a side shot to comapre how mch further forward it now sits

dave that dont make sence, if the head looses its squish areaand its not taking into consideration it will make alot of difference
if the engines being built and the ultra skimed head taking into consideration and other things looked at ( not spacer plates
) then it dont make a differenceproviding when in take my pistons out there not fooked then im not gonna change mine at all or skim the head ( well i cant as the valves would open and show the engine bay
) as theres no det on my head at all and as i ideally need a new head im gonna stick this back together and fizx the problems i had with the engine and then im gonna buy a brand new head and have that sorted then rebuild it proper in the winter ( if i feel i need to any news when ya cars gonna have the engine fitted ect
i have seen na heads at 137 an they been fine
i also have seen a few turbo engine in the hi 137s and they have ran using machined pistons to gain corect comp ratio
it was a large port hear that cud not be thown away
in most cases if it s standard get another head

it sticks out a little bit further than the std one but its a bigger bumper anyway so its ok, the front end looks as hard as fuck now matey, i am over the moon with it, i will prove all the doubters wrong
, i will take a few more pics but you have seen the size of my garage , its not easy
Ginge, you keep on going about detonation, as far as I can remember, stu told me that a head that had been skimmed too much would not have a significant effect on the compression ratio and wouldn't be something to worry about, the problem was that there was usually not enough metal around the valve seats ?:
the squish area and valve seating are the issue but a well skimmed head can be made to still seat fine but ya still missing the squish area and a part on th head that creates hot patches and det
