Yeah, if you've got a fresh hone and rings, don't ues a synthetic oil whilst bedding in, use a half decent mineral oil initially.

Think they do have issues to be honest has had some run in miles done and they have got worse. Its deffo top end noise and the only thing not replaced.
THink an oil change may be worth thinking about as its running synthetic at the mo.

I was only joking regarding R30
Smells fantastic but would probably not do a cossie engine much good

No thats bollocks

Get your self a mineral based running in oil quick and do an oil and filter change , run it for approx 600 miles then do another oil and filter change and put in a semi synthetic oil for another 400-500 then do another oil and filter change using fully synthetic

It just one grade mate as far as I know ,

If you go into your local motorspares shop they should have some on the shelf , if they dont they will be able to get you some , dont listen to them when they try and sell you some synthetic you need cheap nasty mineral stuff thats like treacle

Don't worry mate. It'll be fine running in as it is. Just remember to put some load on the rings (i.e use a bit of boost) as this is what beds them in.

Mine has always been filled with synthetic and Stu will confirm that there is nowt wrong with my engine
