Default front panel replacement on mk4 escort

Would like to know if its possible to put a new front panel on a mk4 escort without taking the wings of?

Im sure it is, but thought i would ask just to make sure.

Yup it is possible mate, i did one for a mate of mine, just cut the old one out and put a new one in, takes about 2 hours to complete in all

the wing needs to be peeled back where they join the front panel, best to drill the spot welds first. also, you can buy a roll of stuff that looks like the pukka sealer, if your that fussy.

Yeh ive done it too, as said above drill the spot welds out of the wings where it joins the front panel and left them up a little, the remove all the other welds and slide the new front panel under the old wings and plug weld them back down.

Job done

thats right, takes about a hour.

sayin that i'm a panel beater so may take a while longer.

remember to use zink spray on welded surfaces to keep the corrosion out bud

you can do it with it in mate, put the car on stands but jack the engine craddle up so when you un bolt it, it stays were it is.

that way theirs no weight on anything and nothing will move.

ALWAYS cheak your gaps befor welding!!!!!

and during as things can move under heat!!!

so be warned
