If your fully comp what exactly are you covered for? i cant find my policy stuff cos i am still decorating and the house is a mess
Basically i am picking up the laguna tomorrow but have an ST24 to look at, at the weekend, and expect the bill for the laguna to be a bit high
and as i plan to get rid of the laguna, would i be covered on my policy for the engine work?

Not sure I fully understand what you're asking...
If you are asking if you are allowed to drive another car while on fully comp, the answer is YES, only if the other car is also insured, usually by someone else. In that case, you will be covered third party only.
Hope this helps and makes sense.

Seriously doubt you'll be covered for the ST24 if it's 'yours', but should enable you to test drive it as long as you third party driving extension. Policies do vary, so you'd need to dig yours out to check to be sure.
no you wont be covered for the engine work shortie
but on another note,,on your policy it may say that you can drive another car as long as it dont belong to you ( third party )you find me on any policy where it states that the other car has to be insured
,BUT what the police can nick you for IS, when you get pulled over and step out of the car they can then nick you for leaving an uninsured car on the road, lol

I guess that's to stop people from buying cars in each other's names and driving them without paying for extra insurance.
Beware about driving other cars when you're fully comp on your cossie insurance, I checked with Dominion (Boncaster now) and my fully comp cossie insurance DOES NOT cover me to drive other vehicles 3rd Party only!!!!
yeah pops is telling the truth !!!!, when ya get a tug and its not your car they will only give you a producer for your car !!!!
thats the same on my policy as how comes ya think a unemployed bum has soo many cars
companys do say it has to be insured but when you have a crash is comes from your insurance company so they dont want your grandma buying a cossie and you having a crash in it the one day ya borrow it to get her some milk
my blue cabrio has no insurance on it at all except for when i drive it hence why its garaged at night and i use carparks
been tugged in it doing 70 in a 30 and never even got a producer, they asked what my policy was ( fully comp) and the reg of my car and was told to fook off home before he changes his mind
as for engine work,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, gra if that was the case then why would all cossie owners say there a coont when they break down and cost lots to fix
next ya will be billing DVLA for ya tyre wear and ask em to knock it off ya road tax

funny you say that ginge, the reason i thought about it is due to reading a cossie owner blowing up his engine and saying in a mag he got it done via his insurance, was a moonstone 3dr, so gave me the idea
try it and tell me how it goes, then ill get my engine done proper
i got a mate that bought a car new from fords, first years insurance was 400 quid, came for renewal and the second year was 4 grand,,,,,,,,,,,,,, his car got nicked that week and has never been found
