Depends on what ECU they are using, people sticking with bosch tend to go 8 not 4

PLEASE PLEASE take my advice...before using the MSD injectors check them for flow and spray pattern...it took me around 24 injectors to find a good 4 that wouldnt fuck my engine!

Danny below..so will the 1000cc's by all accounts work on L8!

I can supply yopu with MSD 750 or 1000cc injectors and the 750's WILL work with L8 despite cossie 550+ stating they wont, Stu at MSD has had good success using these injectors with an L8

dont PM me just call Hauser Racing 01933 312735 mention passion ford and get a good deal. 750's tend to take longer to get in stock so the sooner you call the better.

cosworthbg,

They look the same but require a custom made fuel rail as the inlets diameter is different.
As Phil said, these are NOT cheap compared to other makes but are very good quality !!!

I got 6 1000cc Sard ones (boxed/rebadged as Blitz ones) for 400quid direct from Japan.

Anyone else get them at a decent price, as generally they seem to cost well over a ton each

The 700cc Sard injectors don't like the Cossie set up (due to their very direct and narrow spray pattern) and are only suitable for a smidge over 400bhp @ approx 70% duty cycle. Upping this duty cycle, they don't make any more power for some strange reason . The MSD "1000cc" ones, actually flow 900ccs @ normal Cossie fuel press (3.5 bar, as tested on Harvey's flow rig), but are more than capable of making 600bhp with this.

See my website for prices.

I have mapped up to 1200cc injectors on Level 8. The blue mk2 escort that runs 10's is on MSD 1000 on L8.

It's not easy to get these size injectors working perfectly on L8 but I've finally got it so that they drive perfect and the transient fueling is actually better than std!

Actually for the record I've done a few cars on 1000cc injectors on L6 and had complete success despite not having transient control.

Doug,
The four that Harvey tested were spot on, so I can only confirm that. Lee has the same injectors in his car, so no worries there either. However, Phil only says what he has experienced, so maybe he had some second hand ones or something, as you know how tight he is .

I beg to differ

Virtually the same is achievable with 1000cc.. not just good running,. but closed loop running with full driveability and better than factory fuel economy and emissions.

Well i will be seeing what emmissions i can acheive on a karl map on l8 with 1000cc injectors!...I really dont beleive i will see 3% at idle...but if i do i will truly bow down to him!

Rainbird..all brand new....maybe a dodgy batch..but always flow test them just in case!

PS did you send the plugs out as i had no conformation of order gayboy???

Mike,
Sorry, from my experience (and Simon Norris's too)

I have dynoed my engine with these exact 700 cc injectors.

On standard base cossie fuel pressure (3.5 bar static)
It made 437 bhp @ 77% max duty cycle.
Now I have a bigger turbo (T4), I run the same boost as before but needed to remap it for the increase airflow.
Now run max 84% duty cycle and it feels much stronger now.
Havent dynoed this since but I think its around 450bhp !!! (ass dyno)
(my 4x4 ex manifold is now limiting it)

Near perfect exhaust emmisons @ idle 0.37% CO - NO CAT
