The Audi that really rocked was Group 4. original Audi Quattro. It didn't even have centre LSD (only mechanical locking device for centre diff on later models). But it destroyed any opposition. I think on it's firts outing as "0" car on Monte Carlo it was about 7 minutes faster then first crew taking part in the rally.
I reckon a twin turbo 6R4 would have destroyed the Audi.

If we were going by the sound produced then the 6R4 would win hands down - nothing sounds better when watching the rallycross! (the Clio V6's at full chat come close though!).
Metro 6R4 has outlasted the RS200 in rallycross - I've got some photo's of them both...
Don't see an Audi Quattro being used in rallycross but I think that's because of their value/rarity now plus availability of parts for them here in the UK.
Cheers,
Andy

Audi was the better car but I prefer the metro!
The Engine in the Jag XJ220 was a 6R4 engine with a could of turbos bolted on
RS200 for me is the best looking car ever produced

Grp. B cars in rallycross are UK peculiarity. Don't see them beeing allowed anywhere.
Rarity and part avalibility if a HUUUUGE problem, but - there were couple of new Audi S1's sold by Audi last year as commemorative edition I would love to see Ford put as much support in Blue Oval legends... they simply don't give a fuck :-/

Can you imagine Ford re-establishing full parts support for Cossies and making Commemorative of lets say 100 Escossies?
It's NOT going to happen...
