Brake pedal question

Not for ma RS..
got ma self a new daily run about (rover 214sei) its got new discs and pads on it, but the pedal is shit. About 3 10ths of the pedal is actually contact.. pretty fuckin scary like
ne1 ne ideas? theres no air locks or nefin, and the pedal doesnt dip once pressed.

cant be 100% cert but im sure it moves down a bit, but i put that down to the servo not runnin at the time of pressing it, just like ne car wen you pump the brake with the engine off

last time i had a similar problem to this it was caused by the calipers not returning properly, good strip down and clean up cured the prob

Has it drums on the rear? If so they probably need adjusting. Try braking with the handrake pulled up a bit and see if it affects the pedal if so adjust the rears!

all new fluid, guy from the garage did it all before i bought the car. Strip down.. cant be arsed with that lol

Yeah tis drums on the back, the handbrakes mint on it, hardly ne travel in it at all before it locks rears, ofcourse i only know this from hill starts etc, not like ive been doin the odd arse out antics

i knew that kinda comment would eventually surface..
will give it a go braking with the handbrake slightly up, or could take full advantage of those "free brake tests" at the garage, let em diagnose it and then do it maself..
Will see how it goes and update you all..
