Default Whats the best way to get a parcel here from the States?

And not pay VAT etc on it???

Are many companies up for sending it as a "gift"? Or is my best bet to get it shipped to a mate of my dads who lives out there and then get him to send it to me as a gift?

Cheers

Ross.

Gift is a good idea. Also be "clever" with the customs declaration. Whilst I am not encouraging people to lie. I sent an iPod mini to my bro which included the installation CD and a World Traveller Kit (basically loads of different plugs). On the declaration I wrote, CD, Adapter plug and headphones. It didnt get stopped. I dont know if that helped but I also didnt declare a high value.

Be warned if it goes missing though, you can hit problems!

Airplane???

Boat???

Carrier pigeon???

Would this be some turbo parts by any chance???

Just explain to them that your countries imprt duties are crippling and get them to write the value of the goods down as $30.

Our c+e just use the stated value to tax you. If it is under $30ish they don't bother.
