F*!^ING BAS&£&D! [Update - got him!]
My freshly painted fiesta's been scraped by some ... arse ... ... Parked outside my house - I'd only popped home for ten minutes and I come back to find someone's hit it and gone right through the colour coat to primer. Think I know who did it - found the van I saw hareing past and it looks like there are blue paint samples on the side of it, so I'm off out in a second to take some pictures of it.
Zoom'd:
Update 0325: Got him! Found the van parked at the end of the road, with these traces of blue paint on the side of his van, at exactly the right height:
... ok, so it's not conclusive and it doesn't make any difference (yet), but it's a start.
F!$ker!
Oh, and have a pic of Neighbour's Karl Kennedy singing his heart out from last night:
/gutted

doesnt look like primer mate
have u tried t cutting it off as it looks like white paint off a van or something being that high
if it has gon through then u will have to take it back to the bodyshop and get them to blow it in
as its new paint colour match will be spot on

Cheers guys. The only places it looks like it's gone through are the big white streaks in the middle of the damage.
Will get the 2000 grit out tomorrow and see what happens...!

Thanks for all the advice guys.
Things just get better - 4am I heard a car pull up outside and turn its engine off. I knew there weren't any places to park outside so, bollock naked, I stick my head out the window to see what's going on (bear in mind I live on the ground floor - window was open and I'm paranoid about my car now) and got the shock of my life - there's only two plod peering in my bedroom window and poking around the car!
"Could you move the car please Sir?"
"Sure" (It was bumped up on the kerb to try and keep it safe from white van men...) "Is it in the way there?"
"Well it's on the pavement - it could be an obstruction to wheelchair users."
< blink > "??"
"Well, yeah... uhh, it's 4 in the morning, but it's still an obstruction..." ... and pouring with rain, and the middle of nowhere... Even the most pissed up wheelchair user's made it home to their beds by now.
I stopped listening after that - I was trying not to get arrested laughing at him. Cheered me right up

Oh, the Karl Kennedy thing - he played at my students' union at the weekend; I had the pleasure of focusing 20kW of floodlights on his forehead to try and melt him (I'm a part-time entertainments monkey - lift boxes, mash buttons, that kinda thing).

Weeellll... he's alright really - did a watered down version of Wonderwall but all the crowd really wanted was to know if he was going to get it on with Susan again
His wife's a bit of alright (she was mashing the bontempi keyboard in the back) ... well, she's alright from a distance. 6'6" and a perfect ten body but she's got a face like a second-hand crash barrier
