nowt wrong with halfords stuff,i got the large socket and spanner set for Ł99 and they are sound pluss life time waranty .No quibble they will just exchange whet is bust,aint bust owt yet

Cost in 1985 Ł386.
What a tosser. Even Snap-On are not that much and the Snap-On spanners are better IMO. I can't see them being that much 20 years ago either.

I thought it was a bit pricey Ł386 back in 85 for 10 spanners

thats got to be over a well over a grand in todays money

I give him Ł50 quid for the set though

my mate is into snap on stuff, but halfrauds Pro stuff is lifetime warrenty too!


them rouse spanners would be cool though,,, if your into that sorta thing!
cant see that they were Ł300 odd back then though TBH

mac spanners are shit mate, tell him they are worth about fuck all. i should know i put some in the bin.

get some flank drive+ snap-ons.

halfords pro tools are had my 150 peice set for 4 years and had no probs with it, only cost Ł120 too

halfords pro tools are spot on as there actually made by the same third world company who make draper expert spanners, there the same just engraved different


as for 200 quid on rouse spanners

i so know a gonna buy em too

tools,tools,tools,recenty had to do a list and rough price of tools i have(works insurance purposes)worked out at Ł15.5k i was shocked-even more shocked was the foreman for the main workshop his added to Ł43k all snap-on,mega mega dosh

Halfords socketts set ratchet spanners are very good had a set about 8 years only prob is i lost half the sockets and spanners now.

will be down halfords in the week to buy a new set


I put some Rouses spanners on me xmas list
