U may have seen my pic earlier this week of my bent con rod. Well stripped it over the weekend and sent to local rebuilders with the new con rods and the head for a good old skim and pressure test.
Well recieved a phone call saying your pistons are fooked mate will be £250 for a new set.

Well add that to
New oil pump, big end shells, main shells, new tappets, head set and bolts, engine gasket set, new water pump and cambelt the £££££'s soon add up. Are recons any good now adays or would u spend the cash on a rebuild??

What have you lot done when your engines have waved bye bye..

either coswoth racing pistons, steel rods and well set up

either that or go and speak to philm and get a 2.1 16v zetec engine for ya car

if ya gonna go standard then nust buy a standard bottom end and do it that way

speak to cabrioturbo for a standard bottomend, hes had a few if i remember correct

Oh, yeah I replied to that too. Just mods put on and not rolling roaded. plus a fifth injector kit which was always on causing bore wash.
