New style clio clever enuf to not start due to low oil?!
As the title. Girl at works new style 52 plate clio will not start. I checked her oil and it was sitting on minimum. The car normally says " oil ok " when u first turn the key. The last couple of days a "service" light has been on.
I recall back in the day h-reg clios used to tell u the oil level on the water temp gauge when u first started. So has technology moved on that far?
Any opinion please

Rhys,
state the obvious
I had already sent someone to get the oil before even posting the question.
Conclusion, car now has oil but doesn't start still.
Reckon starter motor is sticky

friend of mine has a new clio and her's wouldnt start recently. It turned out to be dodgy immobilizer, something to do with the wiring getting wet and quite common on clio's (so im told). Might be worth a spray around with WD40 and see if you can get it to crank over
