Just tried link on mine Smit...

Is this any good for my home one ? Cos I was thinking about going to 1meg bb at home but will it be much better than this:

469.6 kilobits per second

Communications - 469.6 kilobits per second
Storage - 57.3 kilobytes per second
1MB file download - 17.9 seconds
Subjective rating - Not bad

There's 8 bits in a byte, so divide 2000 kilobits, by 8 to get the average number of kilobytes per second......

Varies a bit though. Passionford's running on about 1 kilobyte per second at mom!!!!!

ahar, someone finally gives the CORRECT answer

remember it'll only be 32kb/sec upload tho... or in my case only 16kb/sec! (crappy cable upstream!)

as said before... 8 bits in byte... 1024 bits in a megabit. ( 1024 x 2 ) / 8 = 256

also bear in mind youre limited by the speed of the site youre downloading from...

the chances of you ever getting that kinda speed on summink like kazza is slim to none, but if youre downloading stuff from the NASA super-computer you might well get full speed
