my turbo has been smoking loads lately and am changing the turbo over shortly but just took the car out and it wasnt boosting at all also starting jolting when i put my foot down a bit as if low on fuel which it isnt

does this mean its well and truly fooked now and needs to be changed asap??

or cud the jolting be down to summit else??

Shaft could be seized? Sounds like time to change the turbo now…

have you checked the boost pipes Lou? Makes sure none are split or leaking

lou if u drive a car with a turbo that is fucked real bad it may also take ur eng out with it is the car drinking lots of oil? if a turbo is just on its way out u can get about a few weeks or two with it like that

its using oil but not major amounts but gonna take it off the road now anyway just need to sort another car out
