Default Misibushi Evo exhaust valves, what are they?

Ive noticed that a few of the EVO boys are running 9000 rpm on their big BHP engines, anyone know what sort of material they use on these for the exhaust valves?

PS

From what Karl Norris has told me, the RPM isnt the big killer of two piece valves, its heat.

Then that changes things, i was told by Steve(SBD) that i would need one piece for the reason that the valve heads came away at High RPM and the heat problem was never mentioned. So i now have a set of valves that look pretty much useless.I was think o get a couple of different sets of valves out of different makes to try and get them to fit as i have a scrap head to try them in.

A lot of conflicting information sadly.

And its not a subject i know about personally as ive have never had one fail through either revs or heat.

I would imagine its a combination of the two factors, the heat softens it and then the speed at which its hammering the seat and the frequency with which it does it all contributes to it fatigueing and falling off.

Karls advice was in the absense of finding a decent valve, to change the standard ones reguarly, which is obvioulsy spot on, as like most components the more miles they do the more likely a failure becomes as they fatigue more and more.

Looks like we will have to suck it and see.I might just try the one piece ones in the mild engine and see what happens.I'm sure SBS told me that he gets his valves from QED as they are the same as SBD ones but cheap, but not 100% sure.

Yes he does indeed, but he doesnt use them in big power LETs afaik, only in XE's mate.

So the temperature isnt an issue.

Karl Norris advises against non sodium filled ones for a big power turbo (i assume due to them sticking in the guide) and you'd be a fool to ignore Karl, he really does know what he is on about.

But it seems like ALL the options are flawed in terms of whats actually available for this engine.

I really feel like i backed the wrong horse now and should have gone YB!!!!
