Forget the Cat C1......just concertrate on keeping your normal license....

HGV between 3.5 and 7.5 tonnes Gross Train Weight (vehicle + Load, driver, fuel and any trailer)

If you pased the test for your car licence long enough ago you have "Grandfather rights" to drive these so long as it isn't for hire or reward. Sorry I can't remember the dates, but it is quite a few years ago now.

More recently you need to pass the first HGV test to drive anything over 3.5 tonnes or (I think) tow a trailer.

it dont say C1 on my licence so i assume that means I cant drive em!
