nothing much between the red and blue ones as i recall
the green tops were the last saph's and signified it had a cat on it
red was saph and 3dr engine and blue was esc cos if i remember rightly

If it's an old cosworth i.e. 3 door.... the red top will mean that it started life out as a leaded 4 star petrol runner. Blue meaning newer and unlead!!
