Me too and I dont doubt that. I was wondering about their Followers, because they are a little unusual and I know they had some problems with the earlier versions.

I need a PROPER opinion from someone who is not blinkered by how great their cams are.

PMSL @ Adam.

I am after a serious opinion. Anyone? Remember, JUST about the lifters NOT the cams.

Christian, i have no experience with Newman solid followers but i'd never buy the type that have a small bolt in the end for adjustment.

I'd go for one piece solid followers such as these from Ferriday ---> http://www.ferriday.co.uk/performance/solid_lifters.htm
Which you use shims with, but no risk of them adjusting them selves or the weak bolt adjuster breaking.

Just my opinions though

i've got to admit i had a few problems at first with there solid lifters especially them coming loose need to be really tight i had to get the lock nuts made smaller due to me not being able to get the right clearance.... but now i have fitted three of there cams and have had no problems i am running a custom jobby very pleased with it i'll never buy piper or kent cvh cam again

I totally agree with that. I must admit, I am more leaning towards using the 'Shim' type Followers. The only thing that concerns me is that if this 'Chill Cast' process that Newman use is that great (which I dont doubt), will the Ferriday followers be OK?

The people doing the machining on my Head are more experienced with Shimming that type of follower and I want them to do it, however, if I dont use Newmans followers they have an excuse to wash their hands of it if it goes wrong!!

What a dilemma.

What a day that was.

Customer
"The followers are ment for the cam can you adjust them"

answer
"They dont fit"

Customer
"they must do"

Answer
"they dont fit!"

Customer
"O"

was funny tho

IMO a tad noisey set at the given gap clearance, but good results. Not sure if they are any better than the RS16i type but obviously newer
