Exhaust off, prop off, remove gearstick from box, drain oil out, remove starter, clutch cable, reversing light cable, speedo cable and 6 bolts from bellhousing(17mm socket). Jobs a gud 'un! Found this the easiest way last week, removing the gearstick is easier than dropping the anti-roll bar off, will need to tilt the box down to do it tho prior to removal. Can be done on your own with a trolley jack to support the box.

Prop/zorst.

4 bolts to bell housing.

Leave all the bellhousing attached to car.

Can do it in 40 mins......

As far as i am aware yes, i never have issues with the mk2.

Even if you do, you can drop the crossmember with the engine on and give your self some room.

Drop the oil first tho LOL.....armpit full of gearbox oil is stinky
