FAO Rs Gus and anyone else who likes cool tools!!
Look at this baby
Snap On's 1/2 drive Tech wrench
Does 25 - 250lbft damn impressive for a 1/2 drive!!
Display can show either Lbft, Nm, of Inch pounds so no more annoying conversion factors before starting the job.!!
It beeps when you reach teh torque you set and continues to measure so you can see what torque you REALLY applied before you let go as it freezes the display there!!
It vibrates like a phone too, in case you dont hear the beep, ideal for noisy workshops
It measures reverse torque too, so you can record and see what things crack off at
Loving it.. cant wait to put the next head back on now

Remember talking to my old SO dealer. Tried to flg me one of those for 3/8. Something like £150 + the dreaded. I couldnt justify that when a regular windy bottom one (oo-er) is half that.

Thats a Must have...
Someone came into my dads garage couple months back offering him something similar, still Snap-On though (blatantly knocked offf) for some silly price, I'm talking like 50 quid silly... kinda still wish I'd bought it

Snap-On tried to sell me one. I chased him out the workshop threatening to ram it up his arse if he didn't fook off with it immediately. Heard a lot of bad things about these from people who have bought them over the last few months.

It Wasnt Me!
Nice
You dont realise how usefull it is having a full tool chest when working on a car til you have one (or have use of one like me) or a compressor for that matter

mines great - sceptical as I am I had it on a calibrator and it's spot on..
Provided they are treated properly and not abused to overstress the straingauge cell, there really shouldn't be any problem...

I know a few local mechanics working in main dealerships and they have now but praise for it...

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
I have had the 3/8 one for 18 months and it goes though bateris like there is no tomoro !!! even switched off and if the bat is low it vibes all the time. But when they are new it is also i find it good that if you set it at 20 nm and you go over it flashes the reading that you took it to.

I am sure they wasn't that much when he offered one to me. I will ask the dealer next week to find out what he offered it me for,and when he asks me if I want it I can tell him to ram it up his fucking arse all over again!
