well ill be a builder

Just milling things over in my head....reckoning up the pros n cons. BAsically it aint the money thats making me wanna do it, its being my own boss.

Is it worth it is what i keep asking myself

just as well as its not as fruitful as people think

its being my own boss.
what having to work more hours than you would working for someone else, not being paid for holidays ( or even being able to have time off) , no sick pay benefits, no pensions, paying more tax, all the inland revenue bullshit to deal with - need i go on ???

yep thought of all that! I get next to nowt sick pay now, i pay shit loads of tax, i have no pension, hours....hmmm suppose id prob be doing a lot, but i work many weekends now so....

lots to think about!

Well worth it IMO....never looked back - been at it since November!!! Its all good!!

End of the day mate...if it dont work nothing stopping you going back to being employed!!!

oh and not to forget - the costs - not as much applicable to you - but there are massive hidden costs to running your own business - and im not talkin premises or stock

Lee i have been a self employed bricky since 1991,pay less tax earn enough to put money away for holls start and finish when you like
just self control needed you can get yourself insurance if your sick or injured,.
The one thing mark is correct on allthough you are your own boss,you are always working for someone.Be it joe blogs or a trade contract you pick up
