Help needed Tachometer problem........
My mate has just fitted an autometer tachometer (rev counter) to his Fiesta Rs Turbo it is running Ofab management if that makes any difference and it is wired in as it says but it is only reading half what it should example it idles at 1000 rpm on the standard clocks and on the tacho it says 500 rpm does anyone know how to fix this???? any help much appreciated

I assume he is taking the feed from the Coil?
Try taking the feed straight from the ECU pin or from the feed to the existing Rev Counter.
Its to do with the Wasted Spark system AFAIK.

Steve,
I have added a Large Elliot tacho to my dash to my Fez, i just soldered the wires to the circuits on the back of the clock.
Think off ther top of my head there was 3 connections, ones a live, ones earth & the other was the feed................mine seems fine..Cant remember if i've got ofac or ofab now?? which one runs the MAP sensor??

i configured my stack for 2 cilinder application and it works fine on my OFAC fiesta.
connected it to EDIS pin 10.
If you set it as standard 4 cilinder you'll get half readings.

There are 2 tiny loops of wires that poke out the back of the gauge and then you have to cut the according loop to what engine you have.
8 cyl = cut no wires,
6 cyl = cut brown wire loop,
4 cyl (2 pulse) = cut blue wire loop,
4 cyl (1 pulse and vr6) = cut brown and blue wire loops.
Cheers
