HID conversion kits
anyone had any experience of these, recomendations etc.
have seen on ebay that they are getting cheaper nowadays. just wondering what to look for, names, and what to avoid
quite fancy some HID's on the series 2.
is it really as simple as plug in the new H4 hid bulbs, wire in the ballasts etc, and you ready to rock and roll. do i need a dipbeam kit as the series 2 only uses one bulb for main and dips
cheers guys

We have a McCulloch 4700K HID Kit for H4 Headlights if anyone is interested. It was bought in error!! We will sell for what we paid for it, £200.
I would have it for mine, except I can't really afford it with the engine rebuild.
They are pretty straight forward to fit.
PM me if interested!!

high intensity discharge
burns much brighter and gives off a more white light, unlike the pale orange you get with normal lamps
wicked at night, and in the countryside, can see much clearer
as seen on bmw's audis etc
and most cars of late as a dealer option

I'm currently selling and fitting hid kits in ireland at the mo, ( new business venture ) the kits for £100 on flea bay are not worth a fuck! my kit uses proper ballasts ( hella ) and you can have a range of brightness's and colour! the brightest is about 8500k and the colour is a bright white, now if you like the bluish tint like and audi the brightness comes down a bit because of the blue tint to about 7000k! anyting under 6500k is not really any good in my opinion! kits available for all cars! typical car eg. escort cosworth fitting time 3 hrs!

By the way its illigal to fit HID's into a halogen head lamp as the beam caracteristics are different.
I did a post some time ago about converting to HID's.
Matt.
