Mini Sport is in Padiham Dave.

And to be honest changing bushes and inserting shims is such a simple job you could/should have a go yourself.

Or there's Stu in Blackpool of course

looks like Iam going to have to do it myself as usual
I suppose if we can strip the engine out and rebuild it some rear bushes shouldn't be a problem.

Jonno, if they are done properly then you don't get issues....

What he will find though is that the shims make JACK shit difference and a complete waste of money LOL

the shims wont make any difference as dingy says lol,it would need to be at least 4mm thick to correct the camber on a lowered cossy

Fook no!

They go behind the two rearward bolts, and add some toe in to the rear wheels.

Whether or not they make any difference I don't know.

That was aptly timed indeed Lloyd...

You managed to add that directly below Mr Pon's kind and correct explanation of what Mikes shims do!

please explain to me why a car with negative camber that is wearing the tyres on the inner edge would benefit from more toe in ? would that not just accelerate the wear on the inner edge?

i thought these rear shims helped a tiny bit with rear tyre wear and helped give a little more tyre contact when launching it

Yep thats my understaning too, from removing some of the excessive tracking on the standard car, thats what mike managed to convince me whilst relieving me of a tenner for mine, lol

At ten quid i dont really see you can go wrong, i trust mike enough to risk a tenner on his advice, if its no better ill take them off again

Quick Reply: Need garage to fit new rear bushes and Mike rainbird shims..
