Depends what you want the loom for? If it's an engine control loom, they have to meet a certain standard by being made out of certain wiring in a certain way otherwise you risk melting the engine due to EMF interferance fooking the sensor signals up.

Only actuating units on the engine can use copper wiring without problems (like injectors).

I bought all the connectors from a local auto electrical suppliers, 30 quid the lot. they come in component parts with plenty of spare pins in case u make a balls up. Bought the nylon sleeving from demon tweeks (looks like string) and it finishes it off nicely

The only wires in my loom that are shielded are the ones to the crank pick-up & the dizzy. I just called the connectors 'Bosch type' & the guy had a catalogue with pictures in it so i couldnt go wrong. think the company that makes em is called Durite, red labels on the packs anyhow

Durite are a company who make the junior power timer and power timer conections!

The ones as used by Pectel and Ford plus most other manufacturers are a different make however and also different colours.....nothing wrong with the Durite ones however as I have used loads in the past!
