Laserline alarm? (Back Up battery)
Hi Peeps, anybody had any experience with these?
I have the 996 model, everything is good on it, but it keeps false alarming, ive checked everything, swiches wiring etc all good, but i do know the backup battery on the system is now knackered!! Would this be causing it to false alarm by any chance? As the back up battery is in a low state of charge?
Thanks peeps
Regards Mikey

not worried to be honest. Car is garaged at all time (not used) and has gates securing the area and vehicles blocking the gates.

My car had the exact same alarm on when i got it and it also kept false alarming all the time for no reason.
Had it serviced, had the interior sensors turned down too and it still went off.
When i moved house i thought putting it in the garage would help (no cats or wind to set it off) and it STILL went off randomly!
Its life ended slowly in a bucket of water when I got a Toad put on, best thing i ever did with it!
The fitter said the reason for its false alarms was simply cause its old and shit, said no matter what you did it would always cause probs one way or another.
Ditch it and upgrade

Disconnect battery to do some work.....
Reconnected and when I pressd the keyfob it maje a very strange noise and kept locking unlocking the doors..... had to pull the central locking fuse, then alarm didn't work at all, guy I know fitted Laserline for 7 years and said that when the alarm packs up it "should" 100% disable the car, but car started etc 100%, so its been binned in favour of a Sigma Cat 1

Right here goes, as for the system, Everything works, Passive immobilisation, central locking, the indicators work with the system, all that works, but it just false alarms, unyet last year at silverstone, it didnt do it once all day!!!! So on further investigation tonight, the backup battery in the siren wasn't even connected, due to the fact the keys for the siren were lost, but i have now got more keys. But... i have noticed the Sensors inside the car aint picking up anything u can Arm the system, wave your arms inside and it picks fook all up, but ive looked at other bits if it and it looks like the system is wired wrong anyway.
