Problem after new clutch fitted ....
Would having a new clutch fitted effect gear selection after its been put in and fitted...
As i have got the car back now, and now all the gears (gear selection) has moved across the right...
so 4th gear is right against my left leg... where as before it wasnt when i had a paddle clutch....
4th gear used to be in a straight line down from 3rd but now its dog legged.... and its annoying when driving fast etc...
does the gear selection rod need adjusting ??
please help, thank you kindly

If you have a FWD car mate try adjusting the gear linkage. If you look under the car you will see the rod coming from the selector to the gearbox. On the gearbox the rod is held in with a 13mm bolt, which you undo and move the rod till gears are back to where they should be!
Good luck

ok thanks...
which direction will the rod move in ? is it a simple side to side or backwards/forwards adjustment motion...
or is it a ball joint type thing, which is harder...
i assume its not a one man job

You can do it one man, just means you have to get out from under the car to keep checking! The linkage has a hole (Like a clip) and the gearbox has a rod. The linkage end rotates on the gearbox rod. You should see a dirty and clean bit on the gearbox rod, so line the linkage hole up to the dirty bit if that makes sense?? Then rotate the linkage on the rod.....
Hope that helps? Hard to explain without pics tbh.
