me and the wife went out in saff yesterday afternoon, i put twenty quid in it we done thirty carefull miles it took the lot and a bit more. saffs arnt none for good fuel consumption but not getting fuk all for your money doesnt help. morrisons in pezance doesnt have there totem pole displaying the price lit up anymore. not sure if this is a bad or good thing, i got a kawasaki 1400 as well i managed to get thirty quid in that. so between the two cars and the bike we got thats seventy quid and we dont go very far. i feel sorry for you lot thats mile munching every day. this aint no merrygoround its a fukin circus

ive notticed in the last couple of weeks theres not as many visitors here in west cornwall for the time of year. very few foreign vehicles. it brings back memoreis of the traval restrictions during covid. i was coming back with the lorry yesterday late afternoon there was massive gaps in the traffic. we didnt realise but visitors make up for as much thirty to forty percent of the traffic either day tripers or here for a week or two. we had similar when people started panic buying fuel in the early part of the year alot of people stayed away. i went to whales with a mate in his van to pick up an rg gamma 500 motorcycle recently it took £350 in diesel just going straight there and back. that now would be £400. add the heating and electric crisis to this were going to end up in a recession

Got to say I rarely take the cossie out now due to fuel cost. Used to use it all the time round town or get it out for a blast, £20 now just to go out for an hour or so! Makes me mad when you realise most of the cost is Tax to the government

The government makes out it is doing all it can to help through these tough economic times, what a load of bullshit!!! Slash fuel duty by an amount that will make a proper difference, not a lousy 5p a litre which was an insult!!!!!!

Had to fill up the Rangie and the Horse Lorry this weekend...that is nearly £400 in fuel and will give a total of 650 miles across both.
At least our mini does 48 to the gallon and my Twizy is about £1.50 to fill up with electricity for 50 miles. I use the Twizy for most local journeys.
My Cossie does about 8mpg if I give it the beans...and I do not drive it unless I wanna go for it.

Wow, what does that do to the gallon? I remember test driving a supercharged sport and I turned on the MPG read out, I don't think it was in double figures for most of the drive.

it would be a good engine for something like an Ultima kit car, just remapped to suit the application. Probably quite a few around, lots of spares and quite light. Modern enough design etc…

Yeah there all alloy.. the engine im sure is from xkr era so 90s started at 4.0 and then 4.2. the newer 5.0 svr engine im not sure what that is but there full of problems with superchargers and timing chains slipping not good on a 100/130k jeep like.. but i think 4.2 supercharged engine is a solid proven engine obv if looked after mine gets oil change every 3000mile like all my cars etc never a pick of bother from it
