Mercedes phones today and confirmed it is the fuel injector....they've tested the rest and they are fine so the bill to replace 1 injector is 672 quid and includes an hours diagnostics....1.5hrs labour plus parts and vat...less than what I was expecting ….

£672 to replace one ?

Given the injectors are cheap, clearly prone to failure, and a big labour bill to replace...I'd want to replace them all now when it's apart.

they tested them all and said the rest are good....right now its just about getting it back on the road during lockdown....if any more go in a few weeks ill get the independent specialist to replace them all at half the labour cost once im earning cash again. it would have added another 500 quid parts and another hour or two labour at 126 quid per hour to do them all now
theres nothing else wrong so im happy with that....was expecting a grand plus....

im all excited about getting my car back tomorrow after not being able to drive it for weeks.

And to think so many people call the main dealers.

it costs a bit more but its a specialist high performance car, no one knows it better than the main dealer . although the courtesy car was so dull , it was still a new c class merc…
all in all my main dealer experience was good and no where near as costly as expected....

Hope there not like daf ones lol. They all do the same work and have done the same mileage we tell operators. They still pick one then return over and over for the rest lol

I bet you’d still be better off with an AMG specialist mate tbh 👍 but they would need to be recommended by a reliable source.

anyway, where’s the buckfast? 🤣🤣

610 quid???? Crazy price. What are the injectiors like to get at?

Main Stealers are there best.

Was actually only £500, £110 of that was vat.
Plus he got a better warranty on the replaced part.

Cheap motoring for a mega car.

Problem is the only place open is the main dealer.... Specialist closed for the lockdown and I wanted it fixed now ....
Access is easy to all plugs coil packs and injectors but I didn't want to start fucking about with injectors...

Given the labour is relatively low ( by dealer standards ), and they had the parts in stock.

It's seems a very easy job and very common problem

had it back a day and had a coolant explosion all over the engine bay with large steam cloud....luckily this time it was only 3 quid for a hose clip and 12 quid for main dealer coolant...

I wouldn't think so....all the work was along the top of the engine....the hose is down the bottom of the radiator at the front.
used 60 quids worth of petrol already ….but dam its feeling sharper, it seems to be a magnet for all the audi S3 drivers who think they've got fast cars.
