Well i didn't mention Bosch, but if theirs any cheaper set up I'd like to know and look into them ..I know nothing about it yet ..but of its several grand I'll happily give it a miss unless anything cheaper that does the same job .

I've never heard of anyone else offering a retrofit system

What about racelogic ? They do traction control seperate Ecu uses abs sensors , had it on my cossy years ago .also launch control and adjustable traction control, it was great in the wet and not that expensive

And traction control is nothing whatsoever to do with ABS.

Yes it was Stevie , they wired it through the cossy abs ecu , I still have it here , it took the signal from the abs wheel sensors and detected the wheel spin and cut power then reintroduced the power , unless I paid 2 grand for f**k all , didn’t know they stop doing it

It was discontinued a long time ago...and it has nothing at all to do with ABS.
The fact it could use the same wheel speed sensors as ABS...has nothing at all to the functionality of the ABS system.

I think pectelboy is just trying to say that the after market traction control worked off of the existing abs sensors. He doesn't mean abs and t/c are the same thing.

Why not just use a much cheaper fully adjustable pedal box with correctly specced cylinders and a basis valve , rally / racecar have used them for years and ian sure they would out break a road going system.
or retro fit a modern abs system off a car .
Sounds like a big headache for not much gain over a good setup
cheers paul

ABS and simply strong brakes are two very different things though.
A properly engineered ABS system is a massive safety feature, that almost no driver will match in emergency conditions on the road with normal brakes ( except ice etc...that just fucks them up )
ABS isnt about just stopping in a straight line on a clear dry road as and when you're ready. It's for those oh shit moments where you need to stop fast and steer around any objects in your path. And modern systems do that superbly.
Retrofitting from another vehicle may be an option, but you could never expect the system to work the same as it was in the original application, which was designed, tested and programmed specifically for that vehicle. And it'd be a ton of work to retrofit I'd imagine.

No mate the cars stable even off the end of the clock..I'm running traction control and boost by gear so the car goes straight and doesn't want to throw you into a ditch
I've already got an awesome brake set up , I'm on a bias box with the right MCs for my APs etc.. the only reason I thought about this is because 1 its never been done on a Rs turbo and 2 I think it would make me a little quicker and controlled through the bends.
